The site continues to be of great interest to our office and to many in our community, with some misinformation emanating, this update is to clarify there has been no change in status of the site, as previously posted in our Decommissioned Tafe Site update in July 2022.

In summary, when the Expression of Interest process for its future use was finalised in 2022, the announcement regarding the successful proponent was delayed due to Federal Court Native Title processes which is not specific to this site, rather the broader claim, which you can view here.

This was hoped to have completed last month, however with the claim being amended to three separate claims, we now have another wait, potentially until next year and always once this has completed, information will be posted up as well via media.

Native Titles claims and determinations are made under Federal Government legislation, and as a State MP, Sandy has no control over them or their timeframes; however, we have previous Noosa 360 updates regarding to keep residents informed at www.sandybolton.com/?s=Native+Title

For any queries relating to Native Title, please contact your local Federal MP.
