In late 2022, Stage 1 of the Tewantin Bypass (the roundabout at the corner of Cooroy-Noosa and Beckmans Roads) was completed. As per our Noosa 360 October 2022 update, this was following Sandy’s successful advocacy for funding from the Department of Transport & Main Roads (TMR).
As soon as Sandy had secured State funding for Stage 1, she immediately began advocacy for funding to complete the remaining stages of the Tewantin Bypass, which includes the roundabout at the Eumundi Road intersection.
Having met multiple times with the Queensland Minister for Transport and Main Roads and senior departmental staff as part of that advocacy, a business case is currently underway. This will inform and enable Budget considerations by the Minister.
Once funding has been allocated, we will continue to provide updates via social media and Noosa 360.
