Airservices Australia (a Federal Government owned organisation) are seeking public feedback on the proposed flight paths and it’s important that everyone makes a submission before 30th April. You can do so at https://feedback.emsbk.com/asa You may also consider contacting your local Federal MP.

During a recent briefing by the Project Director for the expansion project, Sandy was able to pass on the concerns that have been sent to the Noosa electorate office, most of which they were aware of through feedback that has been directly received. Below is the link to the latest fact sheet that we were given during the meeting and further information on the Sunshine Coast Airport Expansion Project can be found here.

Noosa Council have also recently received a petition regarding this at their Ordinary Meeting 18th April. You can read about it in the minutes here.

Sandy has been kept up to date from community groups in the area regarding this issue, with one hosting the “Flight Path Forum” on Facebook. This group, amongst others, are investigating, and may be worth contacting via the email address of flightpathforum@gmail.com

Sandy will remain in contact with community groups and assist wherever possible at a State level. You can phone the Electorate office on 5319 3100 or email noosa@parliament.qld.gov.au

COMMENTS

This new flight path is of real concern as it was never on the table when we were all consulted about airport expansion in the first place. It is beyond dumb to create a new flight path over our ENTIRE northern residential and tourist coastal strip. Are they insane?

Hi
@peregian-person
Brett here from Sandy’s office. Thank you for your contact. Please ensure that you register your feedback as submissions close today. Sandy will be in touch with further updates both on ‘360’, social and mainstream media. Many thanks.

Hi Brett, yes i put the submission in a couple of weeks ago and attended the meeting at Peregian on the weekend. Thanks for staying on this, its so important to stop these projects that don’t consult the community.
