The Expressions of Interest (EOI) process for the Noosa River Stakeholder Advisory Committee is officially open. This committee will be delivered in collaboration with Maritime Safety Queensland and Noosa Council, providing objective advice and recommendations towards the sustainable use, conservation and management of the Noosa River and its catchment.

The committee will consist of up to 12 community stakeholders representing the wide variety of interests identified in the draft Terms of Reference. The original term for the committee is two years, and the committee itself will play a key role in finalising the Terms of Reference and driving the next stages of the group beyond the initial two-year period. The EOI process is open for all that wish to apply, with membership applications to be assessed by Maritime Safety Queensland (MSQ) and Noosa Council based upon the following criteria:

  • Individual knowledge and experience in management issues associated with the Noosa River and its catchment.
  • Ability to represent community interests and communicate to as many members as possible in identified community sectors.
