As mentioned in our April 2025 Noosa 360 update, following advocacy, the Queensland Minister for Public Works advised that the Queensland Procurement Policy was currently under review. Our suggestions that the policy should have requirements surrounding public consultation and have a greater onus of impacts on community is being considered by the department.

We followed up with the minister’s office regarding where Noosa electorate stakeholders can send comments and have been advised these should be emailed to betterprocurement@epw.qld.gov.au as soon as possible. Please copy our office in via noosa@parliament.qld.gov.au and forward us any responses you receive.
