๐๐๐๐! ๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐ โป๏ธ ๏ธ The team from Containers for Change Noosa - Express Recycling has installed a โpod โโญfor bottles and cans at the Waste Transfer Station between the first and third cutting ๐๏ธwith 100% of all proceeds to Cooloola Coastcare to protect our beaches and turtles. Thank you, Josie, Dion (Express Recycling), Lindy, Jan and the dedicated Cooloola Coastcare volunteers, Danielle and our QPWS rangers, as well DETSI who all worked together on this ๐๐๐ A reminder that given no rubbish bins ๐๏ธ are provided in Cooloola in line with other National Parks, please take out what you take in! ๐๐ To the new government we took forward the communityโs ongoing advocacies for improved management of both waste including plastics and Cooloola Teewah and look forward to updating in the coming weeks ๐![]()

A final decision on going ahead with the burn will be made this afternoon. The burn block is located on the corner of Emu Mountain Road and Eumarella Road, Weyba Downs. ![]()

In addition catching up with the very amazing Guide Dogs Australia team members and volunteers ๐ซ as well some of our Queenslanderโs living with low vision or blindness โค๏ธwho shared their โsoul matesโ and various conditions including where sight is possible by night, however not by day. Gratitude to all for the amazing work you do, and especially to our foster โparentsโ who selflessly give of their homes, hearts and time in training! ๐![]()

This creates a double standard where environmental and community considerations are applied selectively โ. Our communities deserve to be meaningfully involved in the planning of all large-scale developments ๐๏ธ, not just renewable energy โ๏ธ, and the exemption of some projects from typical approvals sends a clear message that environmental laws will be enforced selectively ๐ . And this month, we had 2 new loan additions to our office โgalleryโ! ๐ First, from Brennan Cox Artwork โReconciliation Artโ a collaboration between one of the stolen generation, Sharne Brennan, and 10-pound pom Lynn Cox which depicts a marvelous ocean ecosystem and sits proudly behind EO Lisa ๐ฅฐThen from Maxine, who chose me as the subject for her Archibald Prize submission complete with my โinfamousโ hat ๐ซฃ๐คฃ, which now oversees James in our policy office! Thank you to both ๐ for letting us display your talents, alongside the many other Noosans who share key messages through their work ๐ฉท These include our much loved and sadly passed Suzie Coburn and Trish Bradford, as well Gab Dick, Julie Dodds, Michelle Rudder, Patches of Cooroy and more, who capture the beauty of our home, as well of strength in the hardest of times. ๐ช๐๐![]()
