In response to constituents who have experienced application ineligibilities for the HomeBuilder Grant, we have received the following update from the Treasurer:
Following a revision by the Commonwealth Government, prompted by the Queensland Government, the Commonwealth has relaxed its guidance allowing a review of previously rejected applications.
This is in relation to commencement of construction dates and residency requirements.
This also applies to applicants who may have applications pending.
The Queensland Revenue Office will be e-mailing impacted applicants from this week to inform them their cases are being reviewed.
The Queensland Revenue Office is responsible for administering the scheme in Queensland.
