Danielโs Law in honour of Daniel Morecombe, establishes QLDโs first public child sex offender register and passed unanimously in Chamber last night. 82% of Noosa survey respondents were in support regardless of a lack of evidence as to its effectiveness, and potential decreased safety and retraumatising victim-survivors๐.The emotion we bring as mothers, fathers and grandparents makes it difficult to make evidence based decisions, and I have called for an earlier review ๐ to ensure concerns raised are not realised. Deep gratitude to Bruce and Denise Morecombe for every day for now 20 years working to create greater safety for our kids, and we will never, ever, forget Daniel, or the day our world changed forever. ๐ญ ![]()

Yesterday, Sonia left Noosa Hospital on Goodchap Street at around 5:00pm, travelling in a blue Holden Astra, registration number 216 XBP. She was last seen wearing a white short-sleeved top, navy knee-length shorts and carrying a black handbag. Sonia has a medical condition that causes confusion, and her welfare is of serious concern. Police are appealing to nearby residents to check their properties. ๐ฎโโ๏ธ![]()

Even through COVID, Di kept the learning, love and laughter going with Zoom sessions, picnics and a newsletter! ๐ธ Their passion and care have left a legacy that will continue to inspire everyone who loves our environment and community. ๐ฟ![]()

Queensland Rail (QR) has advised crews are working as quickly and safely as possible to complete repairs and restore services and acknowledge the inconvenience caused. Under a local fire ban all open fires are prohibited and all Permits to Light Fire which have been issued in the designated area have been suspended for the duration.![]()
Power tools may be used during a local fire ban however QFD encourages people to use these with extreme care and ensure adequate equipment is available to extinguish any fire which may start. This may include having a person available to watch out for any ignitions that occur.![]()
