𝐏𝐔𝐁𝐋𝐈𝐂 𝐇𝐄𝐀𝐑𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐂𝐎𝐍𝐅𝐈𝐑𝐌𝐒 𝐙𝐄𝐑𝐎 𝐍𝐎𝐎𝐒𝐀 𝐏𝐔𝐁𝐋𝐈𝐂 𝐂𝐎𝐍𝐒𝐔𝐋𝐓𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍 😡 Yet, we are included in the $35.6m Sunshine Coast Waterways Authority (SCWA), with my questions for 18 months remaining unanswered. Who requested, and what benefit will we receive? Now, we have additional Qs, which I am sure you can guess once you watch this hearing below, including why we need what still appears to be another level of bureaucracy? 🤔Now over to you, with submissions closing tomorrow, 12pm Friday 20 March, via www.parliament.qld.gov.au/Work-of-Committees/Committees/Committee-Details?cid=272&id=8573, and please copy me noosa@parliament.qld.gov.au 👉 To view the Committee’s Public Briefing on the Sunshine Coast Waterways Authority Bill, visit www.parliament.qld.gov.au/Work-of-the-Assembly/Live-and-Archived-Broadcasts/video-on-demand/playe... ... 𝐏𝐑𝐎𝐏𝐎𝐒𝐄𝐃 𝐄𝐋𝐄𝐂𝐓𝐎𝐑𝐀𝐋 𝐁𝐎𝐔𝐍𝐃𝐀𝐑𝐘 𝐑𝐄𝐃𝐈𝐒𝐓𝐑𝐈𝐁𝐔𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍 📌🗺️ The Queensland Redistribution Commission has released proposed changes to Queensland’s electoral boundaries, with minimal adjustments proposed for Noosa as the electorate is already projected to remain within quota. The proposal includes transferring part of Federal from Nambour, formerly Nicklin, to Noosa, which aligns with community feedback that any changes should reflect existing connections within the broader Noosa Shire community. A number of submissions also called for Cooroy to be included in Noosa due to its strong community of interest and to align with local government boundaries, however the Commission determined to keep it within Nambour to balance enrolments. Significant changes have been made elsewhere across Queensland, including in the electorates immediately surrounding Noosa with a number of name changes. 👉 To view the proposed redistribution, visit: redistribution.ecq.qld.gov.au/public-consultation/the-commissions-proposed-redistribution👉 Objections can be lodged online via submission.redistribution.ecq.qld.gov.au/s/objections 👨‍💻, by email via QRCsubmissions@ecq.qld.gov.au 📧 or posted to the QRC at GPO Box 1393, Brisbane, QLD, 4001 ... Submissions close in 4 days’ time on Friday 20 March at 12:00pm, so now is the time to have your say, and please cc our office in 📝.To clarify commentary online, there has been no public consultation since the proposal was announced 18 months ago, as confirmed in the Bill’s explanatory note, making the committee process the only formal opportunity to be heard, whether for or against. 📄As always, and if you need more information, contact our office via noosa@parliament.qld.gov.au or call 5319 3100. 📞📄A public hearing has now been scheduled for the Sunshine Coast on Wednesday 1 April, which I encourage interested residents to attend once venue details are released. 📝 To make a submission, visit www.parliament.qld.gov.au/Work-of-Committees/Inquiries/Inquiry-Details?id=8573 📖 To read the Bill: www.parliament.qld.gov.au/.../5826t0274/5826t274.pdf📧 Again, please also cc our office via noosa@parliament.qld.gov.au👉 To listen to my ABC Radio interview, visit www.sandybolton.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/Interview-re-SCWA-2.mp3 ... 𝐏𝐎𝐌𝐎𝐍𝐀 𝐑𝐀𝐈𝐋𝐖𝐀𝐘 𝐒𝐓𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍 𝐆𝐀𝐋𝐋𝐄𝐑𝐘 𝐓𝐔𝐑𝐍𝐒 𝟐𝟓! 🎨🚂🎉 A wonderful milestone for this much-loved space, with its creativity, history and connection to all. Rescued from disrepair by the Pomona Progress Art and Tourism Association in 1997 and opened as a gallery by fab volunteers in 2001, it remains a testament to what community spirit can achieve. 🤩 It was lovely to revisit memories, the gorgeous art and artists, join Noosa FM 101.3 Community Organisation to celebrate our volunteers and what lies ahead, with recent State Government support of more than $34,000 to assist with running costs 👏✨. Gratitude to President Ron, committee members, and all for your passion in keeping this gem chugging along! 🚂👉 To find out more about the Pomona Railway Station Gallery, visit: www.pomonagallery.com.au/ ...
