SANDY BOLTON

Our Independent MP

Aligned only to our community, not a political party

Β

KEEP NOOSA INDEPENDENT

When former Noosa mayors who argued against each other, that Sandy fought as well opposed in elections, spoke in unity is something no one could ever have imagined, and a moment in time Sandy will always remember!

Pre-poll and how to vote information is available at www.sandybolton.com/2024-state-election-pre-poll-and-how-to-vote-information.

Our Voice

Over the last 7 years having a local member aligned only to you and our community – not a political party or ideology – has been liberating for Noosa.

In this time we have achieved so much, including the completion of long standing local issues such as the Beckmans Road roundabout (Stage 1 of the Tewantin Bypass), Six Mile Creek Bridge #7, and better management of the Noosa River. Despite the clear need, these projects sat undelivered in the two decades prior to Sandy’s election, regardless of who held power in Government.

At the official opening of Six Mile Bridge #7, Pomona

In two terms, Sandy has completed major infrastructure projects others only talked about, became proactive in dealing with local social housing issues which others had ignored and has proved to be an outstanding representative for us in Parliament.Β  Her experience and dedication to our community will hold us in good stead in the future.

Bob Abbot

Former Noosa Mayor

“As your independent state MP it has been my privilege to bring to Parliament issues that are important to our community such as Voluntary Assisted Dying, and the disregard for your privacy by the major parties. As well, to be selected to Chair the Youth Justice Select Committee, which delivered 60 recommendations with over half contained in the Community Safety Bill and Budget.” Sandy

Over 180 speeches have been delivered on topics as diverse as the need for Queensland to have an Independent Environmental Protection Authority to Housing Availability , Animal Protection, and Community Safety.

All of Sandy’s speeches can be viewed here.

Whether it be financial, resources or simply helping us get the best outcomes for the people of Noosa, Sandy is only too eager to roll up her sleeves to get the job done. I have been struck by Sandy’s empathy and compassion towards all people of Noosa. Many times she has taken in the most isolated and vulnerable and gone above the call of duty to ensure their safety and dignity is restored.

Sandy is only too keen to make everyone feel loved, known, and valued. Thank you Sandy for all you continue to do for Noosa.

Every day, out in our communities who Sandy calls family

It is very rare to find a politician who actually listens to constituents.

Sandy Bolton exemplifies this rarity. As an Independent Member, she is free from the constraints of party politics, allowing her to prioritise the needs and concerns of her community without having to toe a party line.

Sandy Bolton has consulted her community on significant issues and then supported the majority.

Supporting an Independent Candidate like Sandy Bolton means endorsing a politics of integrity, accountability, and genuine public service.

Sandy works every day with our businesses small, large and in between!

Noosa is so fortunate to have Sandy Bolton as our local Independent Member of Parliament.Β  She is hard-working, intelligent, ethical and totally committed to her electorate. In a world of adversarial politics, Sandy has been respectful and steadfast in working for solutions with all parties on the issues that are important to Noosa.

β€œWe distribute as much as possible of our office operating budget back into the community instead of advertising or self promotion! In previous years, these funds have assisted our young Noosans access sports, major initiatives such as the all-abilities mat at Noosa Main Beach, provided emergency accommodations and the β€˜Be: Noosa Connect-SCUH Transport Pilot’ which resulted in transport for vulnerable residents to hospital treatments.

In 2024 alone, thirty one Noosa organisations from beach to bush were successful in our Noosa MP Quick Start grant program delivering vital new equipment, infrastructure, fuel vouchers for their volunteers and more. Examples include a new shade sail and bookshelves for Peregian Tennis Club and Cooroy Pomona Lions Club respectively as well as training packs for PTSD Dogs. Separately, other programs we funded include Waves of Kindness’s Free Hair Cuts initiative, a shade structure for our veterans next Anzac Day and the β€˜Mummas’ Group at Pomona Community House.”

Matt giving Sandy BBQ tips at YouTurn Tiny Homes project

Sandy Bolton’s commitment to the Noosa community over her past 7 years as a Queensland MP has ensured that we have had an honest, hard working and passionate representative for the region who fights for the things that matter to its residents. Sandy works tirelessly to make sure everyone’s views are heard, and her independence from party politics means her priorities for Noosa are never influenced by other people’s agendas. She is a great human and I feel privileged to have her advocating for this place that I love so much.

Chairing the Youth Justice Reform Inquiry

Sandy Bolton, while a State MP, is the very model of an independent representing their community.

Sandy engages her community and actively seeks and then represents the community’s view, and has an open door policy. Sandy still has time and the drive to fight for individuals in her committee work, I have seen this first hand in both work around the Workcover and youth crime areas. We in the seat of Noosa are very lucky to have Sandy representing us, and we must fight to keep Noosa independent.

Trevor Lansdown

Working with our youngest advocates is about our future

Since I met Sandy at my first talk at the age of 8, I have always felt that Sandy has supported me, the youth and our Noosa Community. Sandy is a Critically Endangered Species that needs to continue to be our voice in Parliament.

Sandy has always looked for a way to help better protect our environment for future generations of humans & wildlife alike which is the key to a thriving future for all.

Let’s Stand Up for Sandy, a person who truly Stands Up for all of us and nature.
